Your tasks

You will be part of a Team of SREs designing, building and operating our cplace-Cloud and strife for an excellent Customer Experience. As a Team, we believe in continual improvement, eager to try out new technologies, automation, and creating opportunities through innovation. Our Project Management SW for waterfall and agile methods runs in our cplace-Cloud environment. 
As a Senior SRE in our team you take a leading role in taking care of availability, security, latency, performance, architectural design, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you create a bridge between development and operations by applying a software engineering mindset to system administration topics. Additionally, you represent our team as a Solution Architect in customer conversations, during RFPs or when involved in a new customer project.

  • Operation of our cplace-Cloud environment
  • Contribute to evaluating new tools for an improved experience
  • Analyze and remediate errors or performance issues. During this process you may collaborate with experienced team members
  • Review and update documentation for internal and external use
  • Support customer projects; automate reoccurring tasks
  • Analyses and improvements of the infrastructure and platform for cost efficiency

What we expect

  • You already operate Web-based production environments in a public cloud
  • Infrastructure as Code knowledge and container orchestration experience with Kubernetes
  • You handled situations with mission critical IT environments under time pressure
  • You have production experience and a passion for Linux, SQL-Databases, non-SQL-Databases and Container
  • Experience with CI/CD automation tools
  • You enjoy navigating, analyzing and visualizing complex log-event data
  • You used Puppet, Chef, Salt or Ansible for configuration management
  • You worked with AWS, Azure or GCP and running container-based stack
  • Work experience in computing, distributed systems, storage, or networking
  • Proficiency with languages like Go, Python or Java
  • You enjoy communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues to identify solutions
  • You have fun working in an international and highly motivated team with flat hierarchies and room to contribute
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in Computer Science or a related technical field involving systems engineering
  • Willingness to take paid on call shifts after onboarding
  • You speak English (negotiable) and German (min. level B2 with an interest to improve and practice)
