Your tasks

You will be deeply involved in transforming the cplace core - which is the foundation of the cplace platform and ecosystem - into a scalable cloud solution.
Understand the core of cplace at a deep level, which is the foundation of our business.
Are responsible for the architecture of our backend core and make sure that the core meets growing demands
Help and advise our tech leads to make sound architectural decisions
Propose and communicate architectural decisions, standards, and patterns together with the tech leads and evaluate new technologies or products
Provide experienced technical leadership
Accountable for platform features, from prioritization to design to release
Own the entire software development lifecycle - problem definition, design, development
You will be very close to the development squads - 70% technical leadership and 30% hands-on development

What we expect

10+ years of experience building large data-centric applications, and a deep architectural understanding of the inner workings
You have a proven track record of bigger technology and/or refactoring projects
Strong database fundamentals, conceptual understanding of database paradigms as well as expertise with SQL and NoSQL, performance, schema design, replication, and sharding
Expert knowledge in Java 11 and/or 17 - your experiences with Spring/Spring Boot would be an advantage
Intense curiosity, willingness to question, and passion for solving hard technical problems and making systems better
You have a hands-on, doer mentality
English is a Must - German is a (big) Plus
