(Development) Team in Project Management

A team (also development team) is responsible for delivering the product functionality in the order desired by the Product Owner. In addition, it is responsible for maintaining the agreed quality standards.

The development team organizes itself. Nobody prescribes how to realize backlog entries. It is important that the development team is made up of interdisciplinary members, e.g. architects, developers, testers, documentation experts and database experts. A development team consists of a minimum of three and a maximum of nine members. On the one hand, it must be large enough to unite all the required competencies, on the other hand, the coordination effort increases as the size of the team increases.
