Sprint

cplace Glossary

Sprint in the Scrum method

A sprint, also known as an iteration, is a work phase in the Scrum method in which the development team implements an increment (executable version) of a product functionality. The aim of a sprint is to realize the requirements defined in the sprint backlog in such a way that a basically executable increment is available at the end of the sprint.
No changes that affect the sprint goal are permitted during a sprint. A characteristic feature of Scrum is that sprints have a fixed duration of two to four weeks.
